Upload a Local File (CSV/Excel)

This is for quick analysis or when a cloud connection isn't available.

  1. Before uploading, ensure your file meets these requirements:

    • File format: CSV. First row must contain column headers. UTF-8 encoding is recommended.

  2. Go to Create Sources. Click "Upload File". Enter a Source Name (e.g., "Q4 2024 Spend Data"). Add a description (Optional). Drag and drop your file or click to browse. Click "Upload".

  3. SpendCraft processes your file in the background. You'll receive an email notification when complete. The source status will update to "Active". Auto-mapping attempts to match common column names.

  4. If auto-mapping succeeded, verify the mappings. If columns need manual mapping, see Section 3.
