Common Issues & Troubleshooting

Use this guide to quickly resolve issues with connections, uploads, and data syncing.

๐Ÿ”Œ Connection Issues

IssueSolution
Test FailedVerify credentials and ensure firewall rules allow our IP.
Hidden SchemaConfirm the database user has SELECT permissions for that schema.
TimeoutCheck network stability or increase timeout in advanced settings.
Auth ErrorRe-enter username/password; check for expired credentials.

๐Ÿ“„ File Uploads

  • File Limits: Ensure files are under 100MB and in valid CSV or Excel format.
  • Stuck Processing: Large files take time; check your email for a completion alert.
  • Headers: Ensure the first row contains headers and remove any merged cells.
  • Characters: If data looks broken, save the file using UTF-8 encoding.
  • Naming: Each source name must be unique within your organization.

๐Ÿ”„ Sync & Data Refresh

  • Sync Failures: Verify the source system is online and credentials remain valid.
  • Missing Data: Check if the sync is Paused or if Date Filters are too restrictive.
  • Performance: For slow syncs, consider reducing the date range to sync only recent data.

Tip

Only sources with status "Sync Completed" (508) are available for datasets.

๐Ÿ—บ๏ธ Column Mapping

  • Manual Mapping: If auto-map fails, use the interface to link columns manually.
  • Save Errors: You must map at least one required field (Vendor, Amount, or Date).
  • Visibility: Sources remain hidden in the Dataset builder until mapping is Complete.
