Edit Workspace Details

You can update the basic metadata of a Workspace at any time after its creation to reflect changes in project scope or organizational structure.

📝 Steps to Update Workspace Metadata

1. Access the Workspace Details:

  • Navigate to the main Workspaces listing page.
  • Click directly on the Workspace Name you wish to modify (e.g., Delta).
  • This will open the specific detail view for that environment.

2. Initiate Edit Mode:

  • Locate the Workspace Details section on the page.
  • Click the Edit icon (✏️) located in the top right corner of the panel to make the fields editable.

3. Make Changes:

  • Workspace Name: Modify the text to update the title of the environment.
  • Description: Update the text to better reflect the current objective or scope of the project.

4. Save Changes:

  • Click Save to apply the updates to the Workspace metadata. The changes will be reflected immediately across the platform for all workspace members.

💡 Best Practices

  • Keep Descriptions Current: If a "Focused" workspace transitions from an experimental project to a semi-permanent audit tool, update the description to inform new members.
  • Naming Consistency: Avoid frequent name changes for "General" workspaces, as these are often referenced in high-level executive reports.
